If you read my last post, Miss Labeled, you may have picked up that I’m starting to give more attention to my writing. Part of that included rejuvenating this blog, and I recommitted to Monday-through-Friday posts. I kept that up for a few weeks, and then I backed off.
Why, you ask?
I’ve been thinking.
All of a sudden, the ideas that have tied themselves into knots inside my brain for so long have come loose. I’m ready to write them to life, and then I want to find them a home. So I’m going to work on them until they’re good enough to submit for publication.
BUT.
I’m running out of hours in the day. And you probably don’t have enough time to read my musings every single day anyway. Something’s gotta give.
A few weeks ago, I had a great conversation with a woman from my writers’ group. She gave me several suggestions, and the more I think about them, the more sense they make. It’s time to shift some priorities.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll notice the nature of this site changing. I plan to transform it from just a blog to a website with a blog. That may sound like a subtle difference, but you’ll see what I mean soon enough. Generally speaking, it will become a site about me and my work, and the blog will be part of it.
Still, I need time to do all the writing I have planned. That means I have to make space for it since I don’t have a lot of free minutes. Some of that space will come from this blog.
Rather than five posts a week, I’m committing to one post a week. Once in a while, I may surprise you (and me!) with more, but one is the official number. I promise I’ll try to make it really good.
Sit tight. Exciting things are coming.

I almost forgot. Remember when I mentioned I entered a writing contest back in But what if I fly? My essay won an honorable mention. I’m pretty excited about that!
