A colleague told me of a fortune cookie maxim she recently received. It said, “There is no job so simple that it can’t be done wrong.”

Great stuff.

This goes hand-in-hand with another adage that has often crept into my life over the years: “Anyone can do a job halfway.”

I don’t want to be just anyone, and I’m guessing that you don’t either. It takes someone special to do a job right, no matter how small it is.
