Something about this photo took me by surprise. I find it supremely evocative. It inspires me. It’s powerful. It grabs my senses. I want to spin a yarn about who is under the tree and why. I feel compelled to recreate the nostalgic atmosphere, the protective cocoon of the leaves. I know the photo may not captivate you in the same way and actually, I kind of hope it doesn’t. I want this one to be all mine.
Everyone’s inspiration is different, personal. The main thing is to be open to it when it crosses your path. When something reaches out to you, reach back. Pursue it. Make something from it. Share it. You never know when your work will kindle someone else’s flame.
Thanks, Jade Hollenbaugh, for sharing your work. As always, it’s lovely.
